Training in the Critical Skills Programme enables teachers to develop advanced teaching skills, including:
  • deploying a wide range of highly effective teaching strategies
  • creating an environment for learning that motivates and engages pupils
  • designing learning activities to:
    promote deeper understanding - of essential knowledge
    develop key skills - problem solving, decision making, critical and creative thinking, communication, management, organization, leadership
    develop fundamental attitudes - lifelong learning, self-direction, quality working, ethical character, collaboration, curiosity and wonder, community membership.
